The “Museum collection” from Omega consists of reprints of historical models in their heart but current watchmaking is. A particularly attractive model in the series is the officer’s watch milestone in 1941. The elegant, timeless Watch has little in common visually with the famous Swiss brand – sports watches and also price moves on to another level.
In 1938, Omega launched the CK 2080. A watch at the supposedly especially high-ranking military officers found favor. in 1941 the timepiece was delivered for the first time. This watch was used as a template for the “milestone 1941” by Omega, also “Museum collection collector’s piece number 9” called.
Milestone 1941 – Tribute to one at Officers Popular Clock
The elegant design of the milestone 1941 is a significant tribute to the model model. The housing is round and made of white gold. The diameter is discrete with 38 millimetres. The dial is painted black and equipped with many fine lines and digits. That seems somewhat confusing at first glance, but is needed to use the features.
Chronograph with Elegant Design
The milestone 1941 has Omega a subdial on board, a chronograph and a chronometer? The chronograph counters is centrally located on the dial. There are two sub-dials: a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a small second at 9. Three scales can be found on the edge of the dial. A Telemeter scale with scale km/hour on the outermost ring, a minute scale on the second outer ring and a “snails” tachymeter scale with 1000 units/hour – degree classification on the inner ring. Thanks to Super-Luminova coating, the numerals and indices of hours scale of the clock even in low light conditions are readable.
Art of Watchmaking Made by Omega on Board
In the officer’s watch milestone 1941 Omega works in-house calibre 3203. The chronograph is wound up by hand and is a COSC certified chronometer features a State of the art co-axial escapement, free sprung balance and over a column wheel mechanism. Technology, which in 1941 was not yet viable in this form.
Limited to 1941 Piece
The milestone is 1941 water resistant up to 50 meters. Your bracelet is made of black leather, the buckle in 18 carat white gold. Appropriately named, the clock on 1941 copies is limited. On the back of the case the copy number and the watch and brand name are engraved.
