This weekend the possibility jumping: Oppo seemed to be the sole owner of OnePlus, In addition to the OnePlus One manufacturer. Linkages between both companies were clear, as one of the co-founders of what until now we had been sold as a startup out of the offices of Oppo.
And when information stating that Oppo is the sole shareholder of OnePlus, it seems to close the circle of a company that had apparently come out of nowhere. Now comes OnePlus to try to remove these statements, but not let it clear.
The quotation comes from the guys at Gizchina, who have been in contact with a spokesman for OnePlus, obtaining the following statements.
“We understand the confusion as many people are just finding out about OnePlus.” But as we’ve said from the beginning, OnePlus is a separately run company that does share common investors with OPPO. One of those investors is OPPO Electronic. OPPO Electronic is an investment company and is not the same as OPPO Mobile. “OnePlus is also in talks with other investors.””We understand the confusion that so many people are finding about OnePlus. But as we have stated from the beginning, OnePlus is a company operated independently in common shared investors with Oppo. One of those investors is Oppo Electronic. Oppo Electronic is an investment company and is not the same as Oppo Mobile. OnePlus is also in contact with other investors.”
If we read quickly it would seem that information that is slid this weekend were simply wrong. If we read slowly we see that these are fully compatible with the statement, as it may be from a company that operates in a manner indemendiente to Oppo, sharing to Oppo Electronic as an investor. In it we see how they claim that OnePlus is in contact with other investors, not that they really have others (which are not detailed) have share in the new company.
