Samsung Galaxy Tab S Exynos 5 Octa

Samsung is not pay high resolution tablet and after the Galaxy S Pro and the new Galaxy Tab Pro, in his future there is a new device WQHD (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) equipped with AMOLED screen and octa-core processor of the family Exynos. Bonus: the fingerprint reader that premiered on Galaxy S5.

This Galaxy Tab S should get both in size from 8.4 “by 10.5”, both with the same resolution, and both feature the SoC Octa-core Exynos 5 (5420), with four cores at 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 and another four at 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7, while the GPU is a 6-core ARM Mali-T628 at 533 MHz.

The technical features are complemented by LPDDR3e, with 3 GB of RAM internal memory (multiple denominations of at least imagine 16 GB), 8 megapixel rear camera with full HD video recording, and 2.1 megapixel front camera. Connectivity is ensured by the Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 the/ANT +, GPS, GLONASS and infrared port.

This also support LTE, but the chip should be the Exynos, with Intelbranded modems, for a total of four versions:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 WiFi (SM-T700)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE (SM-T705)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab WiFi 10.5 S (SM-T800)
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE (SM-T805)

The design was inspired by that of the Galaxy Tab 4, with back cover “holes” in the style ofGalaxy S5, but with much more subtle, and colours Shimmer White and Titanium Grey.

The software side instead nothing new, with custom Android 4.4.2 somehow, even though it is not clear whether the Magazine UX, but certainly there will be any app that comes with the fingerprint reader, already seen on Galaxy S5.
